Another (mini) Nursery Project

Well tonight I finished a small nursery project that I love.  While looking at inspiration ideas for nursery wall decor I came across shadow boxes.  My heart was set on finding a couple to store Baby Mavrakis' keepsake items and keep them nice and safe.  I love going to stores like HomeGoods or TJMaxx to find unique home decor items so I was on a mission to find some!  I found these at TJMaxx on clearance for $10 each!  What a steal!  Even better, the frame around the box went great with the top half color or her room...I was in luck!  I wanted to "customize"  the boxes so I went to Michaels and bought a few sheets of scrapbook paper that I thought would go with our color scheme and put them in as the background of the boxes.  It wasn't a huge/complicated project, but I think it will be a wonderful and meaningful wall feature in her room.  I can't wait to hang these up to personalize her room and I'm even more excited to fill them with her special baby items.
