Goodbye 2013!

Happy New Year!  What a year 2013 has been!  I wish I can say we rang in the New Year partying it up, but there's not much of a party when there's only 2 adults, one being pregnant, and a dog. ;-) Yet again, we made the most of it and enjoyed our time together!  I love cooking and I feel like food is such a staple in making days feel special.  I made one of our favorite traditional Assyrian foods, dolma.  We tried our best to stay up, but Mike made it to about 11:00 p.m. and I wasn't too far behind, falling asleep a half hour before the ball dropped.  Oops.

I have nothing to complain about in 2013.  It was the year Mike and I found out we were expecting.  It has changed our lives already making it even better.  It marked a year and a half that we have been in Massachusetts, although it's not "home" we are getting use to our surroundings and enjoying all it has to offer.  We traveled this year to new places, like New York City which was amazing, can't wait to go again.  We also got to spend some much needed quality time with our family and friends by traveling back home to Arizona and Ohio.  I feel blessed to have started work again substitute teaching for a great district.  We also are fortunate to have Mike doing well in his career field in the United States Air Force. I also can't express enough how blessed we are to have our health and happiness, not just for us, but for our family and friends.
